Special women police team set up to safeguard FIFA

Chinanews, Shanghai, May 8 – A special women police team has been set up to safeguard the upcoming FIFA Women's World Cup, which will be a big international event in China.

 

The FIFA Women's World Cup will be held during September in five cities of China: Shanghai, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Wuhan, and Chengdu. It will have 16 women's football teams from countries of Asia, Africa, America, Oceania, and Europe

 

On May 1, a drill was performed by the special women police. 10 girls in uniform were escorting some referees toward the stand when a man suddenly appeared, bearing down on those referees. Whereupon, the girls immediately gathered around the referees, forming a triangle to keep the referees safe from the attack.

 

This special women police team is composed of 10 girls with an average age of 25.To better fulfill their task to secure the FIFA Women's World Cup, these girls have taken up training since March in dozens of training programs such as defense, capture ,shooting, physical fitness, etc..
